We’re so excited to show you all what we’ve been working on.

THE GAME

The game is inspired by retro dungeon crawlers like Nethack, Rogue, and the like. We put a lot of effort into the dungeon generation, the art, the music, and the mapping sytem.

Battle enemies, get great loot, look for secrets and items, map the dungeon, and try to get as far as you can. If you enjoy the game, shout us out on social media or reach out to tell us what you thought!

We have loved working on this game, and we hope you enjoy it!

OPEN SOURCE AND FREE

Moving forward, we’re hoping to continue to maintain cartographer.exe alongside our community. The game is free, and if you’d like to download it or work on the code yourself, clone or fork our repo on GitHub here.

Within the repo you’ll find a demo scene which can be used to learn from the procedural generation, or if you’re interested in modifying the game and using it for something of your own, feel free!

Hopefully the code will be a little easier to navigate than the dungeons!
